Anthony J. Celebrezze (1910-1998) was the son of Italian immigrants to Cleveland, Ohio, who had a long career in law and government, serving as an Ohio state senator, Mayor of Cleveland, Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, and a federal judge. The collection consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, legal briefs and opinions, financial documents, speeches, ordinances, resolutions, lists, charts, maps and miscellaneous printed matter relating to the administration of Cleveland's municipal government during Celebrezze's five terms as Mayor (1953-1962).
